You can learn alot on Main Street! I recommend it to politicans and
Fed members. For example:
THE NAIL SHORTAGE:
I was talking to a local builder about the real estate market and he
told me that the current wave of building will be the last! Why?
THE NAIL SHORTAGE!
He told me that all of the nails are made in China now, and they are
keeping them for themselves because of their domestic building boom!
And, the price of Nails in America is going up! And, it fact there
could be a NAIL SHORTAGE SOON!
I don't know how true this is, but it's interesting nevertheless.
THE RENTAL GLUT:
A real estate broker friend of mine said that a certain "rental
agency" in our area has a GLUT OF RENTALS AVAILABLE. Yeah, I said
but tell me something I don't already know.
She said: Well, a few of years ago, this agency had about
1500 "listed" apartments for rent.
AND NOW, THEY HAVE 5000 APARTMENT FOR RENT LISTINGS IN THIS AREA!
Talk about a "renters market,"
THAT JUST ABOUT NAILS IT!
Finally;
THE BIG SELL OFF OF GOLD STOCKS, EVEN WHILE GOLD BILLION IS SOARING
IS......INTERESTING. I've got plenty of exposure to the gold market,
and it saves my bacon on "down days" in the market. But if
this "anomaly" continues much longer....I'll be going longer on gold
stocks.
