JOBS! Jobs. jobs?

Call me an wild eyed optimist!

Well, that does seems to be the key word nowadays.

I thought 50,000 to 80,000 jobs was a bit on the gloomy side, but
Wow....!

I've been reading the Wall Street Punditacracy for TOO LONG.

IT COULD BE THAT THIS MONTH'S JOBS REPORT HAS DECIDED THE ELECTION!
ONCE AND FOR ALL...............

Because, as a stunt pilot might say, Dubya is: "Running out of air"
to pull off his manuver, and win a second term.

The entire notion that Dubya even deserves a second term is really
the product of our systematically LOWERED EXPECTATIONS, and the media
lead DUBMING DOWN OF OUR POLITICAL DISCOURSE.

CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE SOMEONE LIKE DUBYA WINNING THE PRESIDENCY IN THE
1950's OR EVEN IN THE 1960'S?

SAY WHAT YOU LIKE, BUT AT LEAST BACK THEN WE HAD HIGHER STANDARDS.

OR AT LEAST, "HE'S DUMB LIKE ME!" WASN'T A BIG FACTOR TO THE
ELECTORATE! Back then, we elected a leader, not a bowling buddy.
When did we "go stupid" future historians will probably ask.

(The possible exception is for those who voted for Huey Long back in
the 1930's! But, even Huey was a political genius compared the
Dubya!)

SOONER OR LATER, THE AMERICAN ELECTORATE IS GOING TO HAVE TO GET
REAL.

AND CONCLUDE THAT DUBYA HAS BEEN AN ALMOST UNMITIGATED DISASTER AS
PRESIDENT.

FOUR MORE YEARS?

I don't think so.....not now. Not even for the dumbest of the
disenfranchised talk radio types!

As Mrs. Kerry said recently:

FOUR MORE YEARS IN HELL?

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, AND TOO MUCH IS WAY OVER THE TOP.

Postscript: This jobs number puts The G-Man in a bad spot. IF he
doesn't raise rates now, as expected, the bond could crash. And that
could put the dollar and oil in a position to do real damage to the
economy. Talk about being between Iraq and a Hard Place! What a
tangled web we weave, when we decide to "go stupid!"
