If I were a voting man, and I'm not, I would probably be voting for Nader this year.
I gave up on voting a couple of election cycles ago. It's too insulting being a part of the Money+Ignorance= Dumbocracy Scheme.
And, after reading Nader's interview in the Weekend FT, I think that he has the American political situation just about right.
We have a one party system; The Republicrats!
AND ANYWAY, NADER PRETTY MUCH DOOMS THE DEMOCRATS TO DEFEAT THIS YEAR; AS IN THE LAST ELECTION CYCLE. SO WHY BOTHER?
The problem is that Nader splits the liberal and progressive vote at a time when the nation is evenly divided between the enlighten few, about, say, 40% of voters; max;
And saddly the vast stupid and ignorant masses; who will ALWAYS be at least 60% of the voting population. Or, a/k/a "Dubya's People."
Alas, the ignorant will always be with us! It's in the Bible I think.....
The beauty of the NADER FACTOR is that it will doom Americans to four more years of Republican looting of the economy, and a foreign policy that is a doomed and catastrophic failure.
But, what could Kerry do to turn this around, nothing really. The situation is too far gone to be salvaged.
SO IF WE ARE GOING TO GO DOWN. LET'S GO DOWN HARD.
THAT WAY IN 2008 "THE PEOPLE" WILL BE READY FOR A TRULY PROGRESSIVE AGENDA THAT WILL SET THE TONE FOR, PERHAPS, THE REST OF THIS CENTURY!
FOUR MORE YEARS OF SUFFERING, YES. BUT A CENTURY OF PROGRESS THEREAFTER! That's a fair trade I would say.....
Like the proverbial alcholic who needs to "hit bottom" the American People are living in a fantasyland. A world of "free trade" and "second comings" and other like drivel.
Not unlike their beloved Dunce President, Dubya......
So, let's just let it rip. Let's get it overwith.
Let's embace the "trivilization of the news."
Let's embrace "Mat and Katy" and Michael and Scott and Lacy and MaryJane, and all of the other "bizarros," that make up the current American "news cycle."
LET'S LET FOX NEWS, AND MAT AND KATY, AND THE OTHERS EXPLAIN TO AMERICANS WHAT HAPPENS OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS.
AND WHY THEY SUPPORT IT.
SO, LET IT RIP!! EMBRACE YOUR DOOM!!
WE NEED TO "HIT BOTTOM" BEFORE WE CAN RESTORE THE AMERICAN DREAM.
LET'S LET THE "AMERICAN NIGHTMARE" START THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION.
NADER IS RIGHT.......
LET THAT BE THE CONSOLATION PRIZE OF THE PROGRESSIVES THIS YEAR.
