It hit me last night, about 4AM, suddenly it all became clear!
THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE PARTY OF THE AMERICAN ELITE!
FROM THE LITERATI OF NEW YORK TO THE GLITTERATI OF HOLLYWOOD,
DEMOCRATS RULE!! AT LEAST IN THE CITIES AND CULTURALLY.
By the same token, if you are AMONG THE DOWN AND OUT, RURAL, POOR,
AND UNEDUCATED YOU ARE PROBABLY A REPUBLICAN! GO FIGURE!
Of course, you have your "mother hen" to tell you what to think.
IE. THE PULPIT AND WALL STREET!
Alas, this unholy combination of MONEY AND RELIGION IS THE "NEW
REPUBLICAN MAJORITY!" Pure and simple.
So, maybe, it's true that America is "culturally divided." But it's
NOT JUST RELIGION THAT'S DIVIDING US!
IT'S EDUCATION! LOCATION! THE TENDENCY TOWARD RELIGIOUSITY!
AND AMAZINGLY, THE LESS MONEY YOU HAVE, IN SOME REGIONS, MAKES YOU
MORE LIKELY TO VOTE REPUBLICAN! IN SOME AREAS THE REPUBLICANS ARE
THE PARTY OF THE "NEW POOR!"
In short, Bubba may have lost his job in the Bush years, but
he "saved his marriage" by going to chruch! Oh my God! That's it in
a nutshell!
The most reliable Democrat is the suburban woman with multiple
universtiy degrees!
The most reliable Republican is a rural uneducated male who attends
church or owns a gun!
THIS IS A CLASS STURGGLE THAT MARX NEVER ANTICIPATED!
IT'S A TITANIC BATTLE BETWEEN THE STUPID AND THE INTELLIGENT! And,
naturally since there are always going to be more stupid people than
intelligent ones...the Democrats have a problem! I mean this isn't
Lake Wobegon! Where EVERYONE is above average.
THE DEMOCRATS HAVE TO "BUBBAIZE" THE PARTY! THE DEMOCRATS SIMPLY
MUST FIGURE OUT A WAY TO WIN BACK THE STUPID RURAL POOR!
AND SINCE DEMOCRATS DO RELIGION SORT OF LIKE A DOG WALKING ON IT'S
HIND LEGS.....(it's amazing that it's done at all, nevermind that
it's never very convincing!) THE DEMOCRATIC AGENDA IS CLEAR!
BACK TO BASICS! BACK TO THE RADICAL ECONOMIC CLASS WARFARE OF THE
1930'S.
Somehow abortion and gay marriage are going to have to be
put on the back burner for a while. BLACKS AND GAYS HAVE BEEN KIND
OF LIKE THE "PETS" OF THE DEMOCRATIC ELITES FOR YEARS! SORRY THAT
MUST CHANGE NOW.
Can this be done? Oddly, I think so....here's why:
Dubya hit the ground running after the recent election; CUTTING
BENEFITS TO THE POOR, AND ATTACKING BUBBA'S SACRED COWS; SOCIAL
SECURITY AND MEDICARE.
This could be like Manna from Heaven for Democrats. The Democrats
simply have to exploit the ECONOMIC CLASS ISSUES like flys on the
manure heap behind the barn!
And don't worry about Wall Street And Greenspan. They will screw up
right on schedule....just like always. The problem in 2004 was
partly that Greenspan's HYPER-LIQUIDTY FALLACY had somehow managed to
fly under the radar of the bond market.
THAT WILL CHANGE IN THE COMING YEARS. And, indeed, there is already
SERIOUS trouble in the currency markets and among foreign holders of
the MASSIVE US DEBT! China and Japan could decide to nuke our bond
market in the next four years.
THE UNHOLY LOVE OF THE DOLLAR BY CHINA AND JAPAN IS NOT LOVE OF
AMERICA, BUT RATHER AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP THERE OWN EXPORT DRIVEN
ECONOMIES AFLOAT. INDEED, CHINA MIGHT ACTUALLY HATE AMERICA FOR ALL
WE KNOW, BUT STILL HAVE OVER-BOUGHT THE DOLLAR FOR THEIR OWN POLICIAL
AND "DOMESTIC REASONS!"
In other words, there is an economic time bomb ticking inside the US
economy. Everyone thought that it would go off, during Dubya's first
term, but alas, the hyper-liquidity gambit of Mr G et al, worked!
But likely this kind of luck won't hold through a second Dubya
term.
Think 1930 Redux. It's coming...
THIS LIKELY ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE IN THE US COULD PREMATURALLY END
THE "GENERATIONAL" DOMINANCE OF REPUBLICANS IN WASHINGTON FASTER THAN
MANY CURRENT PUNDITS THINK.
Pundits do think, don't they? Or is it all shoot from the lip like
on Fox News? Indeed, a stragegy to discredit Fox News might be on
the Democratic timeline somewhere. These people are just obnoxious!

THE INCREDIBLE LUCK OF THE REPUBLICANS TO RUN AN NEAR TOTALLY
CATASTROPHIC FIRST TERM; AND STILL WIN, WAS AMAZING.
BUT LUCK ALWAYS RUNS OUT. ESPECIALLY WHEN LUCK IS USED AS A
SUBSTITUTE FOR A POLICY!
Democrats must work hard to make their party a BUBBA-TOLERANT place
before 2008. There needs to be a RELIGIOUS WING in the Democratic
party to complement the elite intellectual and creative wing.
BUT MOST OF ALL, DEMOCRATS HAVE TO REALIZE THAT THEY ARE NOW THE
PARTY OF THE ELITE IN AMERICA; AND THEY SIMPLY MUST REACH OUT TO THE
LESS FORTUNATE IN RURAL AMERICA. AND TO THE LESS EDUCATED. AND TO
THE JOBLESS POOR WHO SEE REPUBLICAN WARS AS THE "ONLY WAY OUT!"
In short, Democrats have to "leave the light on" for America's
Bubbas! Just to let them know: YOU ARE WELCOME BACK IN THE
DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
