DEMOCRACY OR BREAK UP IN IRAQ?

The zeal of the Shia and the Kurds for the coming election in Iraq could be a prelude to a break up, not a unified state.

Neither the Shia nor the Kurds can "rule" in Baghdad or in the so-called Sunni Triangle.

That just won't happen....the 51% rule of democracy simply doesn't apply in Iraq, and you only have to look at recent US national elections to see how difficult it is for 51% to "rule" the other 49%.

THE REAL CONSEQUENCE OF THE SUNDAY ELECTION WILL BE:

DO THE SHIA MAJORITY ASK THE US TO LEAVE IRAQ IMMEDIATELY?

OR, WILL THE SHIA SEEK TO "USE" THE US MILITARY FOR THEIR OWN POLITICAL PURPOSES?

MY HUNCH IS THAT THEY WILL TELL DUBYA, THE NEOCONS AND THEIR "ARMY OF LIBERATION" TO SCRAM

---AND DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT!

CLEARLY, THE NEWLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT OF SISTANI WILL NOT WANT TO BE SEEN AS A US PUPPET ----OR A "TOOL OF THE ZIONIST OCCUPATION!" THAT'S FOR SURE!

NO IRAQI OUTSIDE THE GREEN ZONE CAN AFFORD TO TAKE THAT POSITION.

But, whether Dubya can buy off Sistani with promises of MORE BIG CASH PROJECTS, at US taxpayer expense is other matter.

Does Dubya still dream about controlling the oil fields of Iraq?

Alternatively, If Sistani says "Scram" will the Neocons become the Champions of Minority Rights! And start advocating for the Sunni "facsists!"

THAT WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE FLIP-FLOP!

THE COMING ELECTION COULD SHIFT THE CENTER OF POLITICAL GRAVITY OUT OF THE GREEN ZONE;

AND THAT MIGHT VERY WELL BE THE FINAL CHAPTER IN DUBYA'S ILL-PLANNED AND DISASTEROUS--- "CONQUEST OF MESOPOTAMIA........."

A FUTURE HISTORY OF THIS DISMAL AFFAIR MIGHT BE CALLED:

"AND THE FOOLS RUSHED IN....!"
