The Iranians want the bomb because they fear
the Americans will invade. The Americans want to invade because they fear the Iranians want the bomb.
A perfect Catch-22....for needless war.
But, as Friedman points out, Dubya & Co. are now Busted, Disgusted and can't be Trusted---around the world their credibilty is all but gone.
So, American Imperialism "on the Cheap" just won't fly---unless the Chinese keep buying US Bonds. The Bank of China is Dubya's latter day Rothchilds Bank...... Every Imperialist needs a good banker!
But if the Iraqis today taught us that 6000 years of civil government can teach you a thing or two;
Perhaps Europe's "diplomacy" and the Chinese Banks can combine to keep the Neocons at home for a while?
In any event "optional war" is no longer an option.......for Dubya & Co. And for that the world should be thankful.
