Why would Negroponte take the new job of Security Czar?
Well, if you were trapped inside the Green Zone in Baghdad with no where to go.....and you were the target of the raging Jihadi storming around that city...... Anything looks good!
Bremer always looked like he had a serious case of the "Heebe-Geebies" when he was in Iraq....like he had "something on his mind" (perhaps how to get out of Baghdad?). And always wearing those goofy COMBAT BOOTS with a suit!

For Negroponte dining after work in GeorgeTown...beats walking around the GreenZone anytime. And it might just indicate that he "Knows Something" about where Iraq will be in about six months or so...... Ya think?
In the title link there is some talk of Negroponte's involvement with the Latin American "death squads." Remember them? .....before we "backed democracy" in Latin America?
