NEOCON ADVENTURISM ON THE MARCH

David Brooks in the NYTimes today opines: Democracy on the March? Why not here? Meaning the rest of the Middle East..... But;

Shades of the French Revolution! Once you get the mobs on the streets, it's hard to tell where they will end up.

After the American Revolution, the French tried a revolution of their own, and ended up with the Napoleonanic Wars.....

Governments exist to protect established elites. Revolutions happen to establish new elites.....

You will always find outsiders who want to take over the current power structure in Baghdad or Boston, in Iran or Iowa....that's simply the nature of politics.

What the Neocons have done is impose themselves inside several long standing mideast political conflicts: eg Sunni vs Shia. And the Neocons have "picked the winner."

Soon, the Neocons will be supporting some "good" Lebanese faction.....

And, of course, we already have some "good" Iranians picked out for the next conflict......

The old western "winner" was the Sunni, now Dubya has picked the Shia.....yet even that is unsure.

This has been declared "Democracy on the March" still the Shia can barely conceal their contempt for Bush and his American Occupation.

It is totally naive for Brooks, or anyone else, to think that the Iraq War "solved" anything. It merely "unleashed" something....

This is pure and simple: "Adventurism on the March"

....And it's presently marching down the Road to Bankruptcy and Middle East Chaos for the Neocon Imperialists....

Why not here.....? Indeed.
