But GAS PRICES are killing consumer spending quickly... The malls are emtpier than normal, and even our "big box stores" look more barren and isolated...
My Chums who man the cash registers say that their indicators are equally bad.
And then there is the SEPTEMBER JOBS NUMBER ON FRIDAY... That should be a real shocker... But perhaps the Bond Idiots will find something to like...they are so slow witted.
NO JOBS + HIGH GAS = A PRETTY DISMAL SITUATION. YA SUPPOSE? Or can the Street find even more ways to spin, spin, spin... Hey, perhaps a "brokerage upgrade" will do the trick. And JDSU is getting some applause on their "reverse split" today... Alas, it's come to that on the Street.
