I see no way the Cuban people will "rise up" to make the Cuban economy safe for American multi-national corporations...!
If anything the trend is toward more left leaning governments in Latin America. If the Necons want to open up to Cuba they could do it anytime...
But as in the middle east now...we are really in a geopolitical holding pattern until Bush & Co are back in Texas where they can't do very much harm...
Can you picture the GLOBAL CELEBRATION that is going to take place when Bush is finally OUT OF OFFICE!!
I WOULD VENTURE THAT THERE WILL BE ORGANIZED "EVENTS" ALL OVER THE WORLD...WITH PEOPLE DANCING IN THE STREETS TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE BUSH PRESIDENCY...
AND THAT IS REALLY GOING TO BE VERY SAD AND EMBARASSING FOR AMERICA, AND FOR THE MEMBERS OF THIS ILL-STARRED ADMINISTRATION...
PERHAPS IT'S TIME TO START CELEBRATING THE POST-NEOCON/BUSH ERA...AND THE POST-CASTRO ERA...BOTH WILL HAPPEN SOONER OR LATER.
