This economy and market is running on fumes... Or something.
Whatever is keeping the markets up is simply not real...but that's not unusal these days in Washington or on Wall Street...Reality is on a Holiday...at least until the Big SOBER UP after Labor Day.
My hunch is that after Labor Day there will be a reassessment of the entire situation.
The Republicans are going to LOSE BIG IN NOVEMBER. That is almost a given...the nation has a damaged "psyche" as the American Moron told us this week.
Basically, after Labor Day there should be a major re-think of how to stop the downward spiral that is the result of literally years of denial thinking...and greed without limits.
The big issues like health care and jobs are not even being discussed as both parties seek ever blander wedge issues to confuse the public...
For Republicans it's flag burning, gays and abortion. For Democrats it's an attempt to "get to the right" of the Republicans! On defense, security and fiscal responsibility...
BUT WHAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE REALLY WANT IS A FUTURE....! A FUTURE WITH HEALTH CARE RESOLVED NOW! AND WITH THE REAL STORY ON FREE TRADE AND JOBS REVEALED...NOT MORE LOW WAGE JOBS AND MORE DEFICITS AS INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL LOOTS THE LAST VESTIAGES OF THE AMERICAN ECONOMY AND RUNS OFF SHORE...
AMERICA NEEDS TO HAVE RESPONSIBLE CAPITAL MARKETS THAT ARE LOYAL TO THE AMERICAN ECONOMY...NOT CHINA OR INDIA OR THE NEXT LOW WAGE TAX HAVEN...
AMERICA NEEDS A "PAY TO PLAY" APPROACH TO IT'S MARKETPLACE WHICH IS STILL, BARELY, THE BEST ON EARTH...
IF CORPORATIONS WANT TO BRING IN CHEAP GOODS FROM CHINA...FINE...PAY A 5% TARIFF TO COVER THE HEALTH CARE OF ALL AMERICANS.
IF CORPORATIONS WANT THE BENEFITS OF CHEAP LABOR...THEY SHOULD SHARE THE PROFITS SO OBTAINED WITH THE AMERICAN WORKERS WHO ARE IMPACTED BY THE RISE OF CHEAP LABOR AS THE DOMINANT FORCE IN MODERN CAPITALISM...
The US economy is in a downward spiral... People are listing houses...THAT WILL NOT SELL AT ANY PRICE...NEVERMIND THE ABSURDLY HIGH PRICES THAT ARE ADVERTIZED!
