The Shia know that Bush can not turn back now...he must "stay the course," or risk being charged with war crimes against the Iraqi people...
And the Shia are going to play this for all it's worth...and it's worth the total takeover of Iraq...with the exception of the Kurdish region which could be made into the defacto independant Kurdistan before the end of 2007.
