Has anyone doubted that Greenspan was and is a political animal?
I mean this guy is the real flip-flopper.....
And, the way Greenspan lets Kudlow and Cramer and Wall Street pundits jerk him around is just ridiculous.
...How else do you think we got all the way to 1% on Fed Funds! CNBC Yada-Yada.....
I have always compared Greenspan to John Law of the 1720's Bubble Fame....and I have no doubt whatsoever that Greenspan will be treated like Mr Law in the annals of economic history.
Greenspan has almost single handedly transformed America into a debtor nation with "twin deficits" that no one can figure out now. So we just "ignore them."
....but we do know one thing for sure; according to Greenspan's thinking,....we can't afford to support the American elderly anymore!
Greenspan took the great tradition of Bretton Woods and jammed it to the hilt into the global economy.....
Essentially saying:
IF YOU WANT AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM....I'LL GIVE YOU ALL THE EXCEPTIONALISM YOU CAN HANDLE....
ALL FOR CAPITAL, BUT NOT ONE RED CENT FOR LABOR OR ORDINARY PEOPLE.....
That is Greenspan's sad legacy....and history will not be kind.......gauranteed.
